The Role
East Cheshire Eye Society is a successful, dynamic and long-established, small, independent charity which has been working with visually impaired clients throughout East Cheshire for over 140 years. Our aim is to support our clients to lead fulfilling lives at home, at work and in the community.
We now have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Resource Centre Assistant, supporting the Charity Manager and Services and Volunteers Coordinator in the day-to-day delivery of our services and activities.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for clients, their families and visitors to the Resource Centre, and so excellent people skills together with the ability to communicate effectively with people affected by sight loss in a variety of formats is vital to the role.

This key role requires knowledge of various Microsoft packages to perform the day to day administrative duties of the charity. You will be joining our small team together with a dedicated group of Volunteers, and have the satisfaction of seeing the impact of your work on people affected by sight loss and their families.

Job offers will be subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.
